Expert Die was founded in 1993 with a simple mission: deliver precision, quality, and unmatched service in every tool we produce and sharpen. What began as a small operation serving the carpet industry in Dalton, Georgia has grown into a trusted provider of industrial cutting tools, sharpening services, and custom solutions for a wide range of industries across the Southeast.
Today, Expert Die supports customers in industries including flooring, woodworking, food processing, plastics, recycling, and manufacturing—offering everything from industrial blades and CNC tooling to full-service machining and sharpening. Our commitment remains the same as it was on day one: if it’s not perfect, do it again.

Growing through strategic partnerships
In December 2022, Expert Die entered a new phase of growth when it was acquired by Peak Toolworks, a leading North American manufacturer of diamond and carbide cutting tools backed by private equity investment. Peak Toolworks brought more than 80 years of industry expertise, advanced manufacturing capabilities, and a broad service network, enabling Expert Die to expand its product offerings, technical capabilities, and customer reach.
Building on that momentum, in December 2023 Peak Toolworks was acquired by DBW Holdings, the parent company of Diamond Blade Warehouse, in partnership with private equity firms Granite Creek Capital Partners and Canterbury Ventures. This combination created a powerful platform that unites manufacturing, distribution, and service—offering customers a more comprehensive range of cutting solutions across construction, industrial, and manufacturing markets.
